What’s in the name?

Radiant: reflecting beams of light
Transparency: having the ability to send or convey light from one person or place to another

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 AMP)

In the previous blog
Those Who Were Ready Went In I talked about God's light in us and how His word and relationship with Him is our oil. Eight months ago as I was sitting and thinking about how I can help others Radiant Transparency came to mind. It made perfect sense to me that through this vision I would allow the light that God gives to shine through me.
Radiance is not something that can be taught, but groomed in you by God. It's those quirky little things about you that make you unique. It’s your unabashed and unashamed need to give glory to God. It’s your desire to be and do more than you have in the past. It’s the need to truly be you and not impress anyone. It’s your smile, presence and energy that lights up a room. It’s the ability to handle things differently than most. It’s in you taking a stand to not be like everyone else, just so you fit in. Being transparent is not about seeking attention, being noticed or to make others feel less than. It is about sharing your journey so that others may be helped. Walking with God allows us to get to a point where we don't care what others think. The main goal is to help someone trough your story or struggle. The only way to truly do that is to be transparent about life and walking with God.

Many believe that growth in God is supposed to be perfect, calm or that no trials will come. But it is the walking with Him that breaks us down to nothing. This breaking turns out to be more of a time of humbling, so that we may be used by God. When we humble ourselves before Him, He lifts us up to fulfill His purpose. So that we realize He is the ultimate source. If it is not shared that walking with God is not about floating on clouds others will be deceived and give up on God at the first sign of trouble.

God is no respecter of man but He is faithful, a deliverer, healer, strong tower, merciful, graceful and most importantly a savior. He is forgiving but He also desires change in us so that we can fulfill His will. Each person’s journey through life with God is different; it is the details of those different stories that allow each of us to help someone else.

Learning to define who you are by whom & what God defines you as is key to the ability to be transparent. Seeking God allows Him to restore you so that no guilt or shame is present in your openness. It is true that some things and details need to remain hidden, but the overall story can be shared. Don't be afraid to share who you are and what God has done in your life, it is how we win people for Him.

Many people today define success by how many degrees they have, how much money they make, or how many things they have acquired. True success is living out your life knowing that you are walking in Gods will. Knowing that you did all you were lead to do and you can peacefully on judgment day say to God "I did all I could to serve and honor your word & purpose". Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

Go forward today and allow God to make you Radiant, so that your Transparency can help someone else who may struggle.

Hiding Amongst the Baggage

“Samuel went back to GOD: “Is he anywhere around?” GOD said, “Yes, he’s right over there—hidden in that pile of baggage.” They ran and got him. He took his place before everyone, standing tall—head and shoulders above them. Samuel then addressed the people, “Take a good look at whom GOD has chosen: the best! No one like him in the whole country!” Then a great shout went up from the people: “Long live the king!”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:22-24‬ ‭MSG‬‬  There comes a time in life when the King or Queen in you can no longer be hidden. In 1 Samuel 9 Saul thought he was just going to look for his families lost sheep. As he was looking for the lost possessions of his family, he found the lost identity of himself.  Along the journey of life we find ourselves as we find Christ. In you is a great king or queen and you had no clue. There is a greatness in each of us that is hidden until life circumstances pulls it out of us. Many of us have come across great people who see thi...

The Trials of Life

Some trials are of the enemy, some self-inflicted (I've had many of these); no matter the avenue the destination of the enemy is always the same….destruction. The important thing to remember during the trials of life is that God knows exactly where we are and has allowed it all to happen. His plan is to prosper us, so no matter where we are it will all work together for our good. All the tough times we have been through, though they hurt they made us stronger = better. When we take that and acknowledge that God is in control we know that it is only by the grace of God that some of us did not end up as the star of a "Snapped", "Cops", "Iyanla fix my life" or a "Murder in the Family" episode. It takes a lot of strength and not strength of our own, but strength that God has placed in us to go through life and actually be in Gods will. This means doing the right thing, even when someone else isn't. The journey with God is not perfect...

Life in His Garden

Life in His Garden Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. [I Cor. 15:45-49.] And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted). And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired–good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity. [Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19.] And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. (Genesis 2:7-9...
