Use your words

As I am typing this I’m in the midst of preparing posts for the Facebook page; writing a post about how much the words we say affect every area of our lives. Words affect everything from our attitude that day, how we see our future and how we are viewed by others. The post further talks about not talking ourselves out of our destiny, which is extremely important. In order to get where God wants us to be we have to start trusting in the vision and His promises by speaking life into what He has said.

As I was thinking about the post, my sister and brother in law popped into my head and I envisioned them telling my nieces “use your words”. From a very young age they’ve taught them to not just point to things or whine and fuss for things, but to use their words to explain what they want. My oldest niece who is now 5 and speaks so much like an adult that I sometimes forget that she is only 5. When they were younger it would have been easy for them to just point at the object they wished to obtain. But doing that would have stunted their progression in communication with others. A child who whines and never speaks to exactly what they want may never get it, because people may not be able to figure out what they want.  Even if the child exchanges a letter or two in a word, adults that are constantly around them begin to understand what they are saying. The adult now hears the child’s request and is able to either fulfill or deny the request.

I believe that God has the same idea for us. God knows our every thought and deepest desire, He still in Romans 4:17 mentions speaking of things that are nonexistent as though they were existent. We are His children and though like our earthly parents He knows how to bless us without us asking; it pleases Him for us to speak into existence the things that He has already revealed to us in our spirits. Children don’t know what to ask for if they have never seen someone with it or had it previously.

I believe that it  pleases God and helps to build up our faith for what He has revealed by speaking out the words that coincide with the vision. There may be a time when we cry about something or have groaning’s and moaning that He understands also. But we can serve Him better and make our own lives better by choosing to use our words for positive reassurance of the vision. Speaking into a situation causes us to talk into our destiny instead of talking ourselves out of our destiny.

I encourage you to take some time to really think about the words that you are using every day about your current situation and your future. Be determined to use your words wisely.

17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed. Romans 4:17 AMP

Hiding Amongst the Baggage

“Samuel went back to GOD: “Is he anywhere around?” GOD said, “Yes, he’s right over there—hidden in that pile of baggage.” They ran and got him. He took his place before everyone, standing tall—head and shoulders above them. Samuel then addressed the people, “Take a good look at whom GOD has chosen: the best! No one like him in the whole country!” Then a great shout went up from the people: “Long live the king!”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:22-24‬ ‭MSG‬‬  There comes a time in life when the King or Queen in you can no longer be hidden. In 1 Samuel 9 Saul thought he was just going to look for his families lost sheep. As he was looking for the lost possessions of his family, he found the lost identity of himself.  Along the journey of life we find ourselves as we find Christ. In you is a great king or queen and you had no clue. There is a greatness in each of us that is hidden until life circumstances pulls it out of us. Many of us have come across great people who see thi...

The Trials of Life

Some trials are of the enemy, some self-inflicted (I've had many of these); no matter the avenue the destination of the enemy is always the same….destruction. The important thing to remember during the trials of life is that God knows exactly where we are and has allowed it all to happen. His plan is to prosper us, so no matter where we are it will all work together for our good. All the tough times we have been through, though they hurt they made us stronger = better. When we take that and acknowledge that God is in control we know that it is only by the grace of God that some of us did not end up as the star of a "Snapped", "Cops", "Iyanla fix my life" or a "Murder in the Family" episode. It takes a lot of strength and not strength of our own, but strength that God has placed in us to go through life and actually be in Gods will. This means doing the right thing, even when someone else isn't. The journey with God is not perfect...

Life in His Garden

Life in His Garden Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. [I Cor. 15:45-49.] And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted). And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired–good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity. [Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19.] And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. (Genesis 2:7-9...
