Change Begins Within

Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
Romans 12:2 (AMP)

Often times in life we look around and we see all the things that “need to change” in our lives. After looking around to see what needs to change, we first think of how the change in someone else could turn the whole situation around. What if the change began with us? What if the change in us rubs off on others?

I used to as many do have a mindset that what I do and how I see things is my business and it doesn’t affect anyone else. The truth is someone, is always looking and watching what you do. How many times has someone with a bad attitude come into a room and completely changed the atmosphere? How many times has a person with a cheerful attitude come in and changed the atmosphere? Every day we see how much of an affect attitudes can affect the environment, but never truly become conscience of our own attitude.

One may say “Does that make us responsible for other grown people?” NO! The responsibility is not to other people or even to us, but to God. God tells us in Romans 12:2 to be changed by renewing our minds in His word. A renewed mind brings out our need desire to represent Christ in every area of our lives. There are none who can do it perfectly, but we all should be seeking Him to perfect our walk.  In renewing our minds we find in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that we are ambassadors for Christ.

An ambassador is a person of high stature that represents their own government in a different country. As followers of Christ we represent the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. There is no other way to properly represent if we are not renewing our minds with the laws that govern our country. These laws bring about change in us over time and can also provoke a change in others.

Hiding Amongst the Baggage

“Samuel went back to GOD: “Is he anywhere around?” GOD said, “Yes, he’s right over there—hidden in that pile of baggage.” They ran and got him. He took his place before everyone, standing tall—head and shoulders above them. Samuel then addressed the people, “Take a good look at whom GOD has chosen: the best! No one like him in the whole country!” Then a great shout went up from the people: “Long live the king!”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:22-24‬ ‭MSG‬‬  There comes a time in life when the King or Queen in you can no longer be hidden. In 1 Samuel 9 Saul thought he was just going to look for his families lost sheep. As he was looking for the lost possessions of his family, he found the lost identity of himself.  Along the journey of life we find ourselves as we find Christ. In you is a great king or queen and you had no clue. There is a greatness in each of us that is hidden until life circumstances pulls it out of us. Many of us have come across great people who see thi...

The Trials of Life

Some trials are of the enemy, some self-inflicted (I've had many of these); no matter the avenue the destination of the enemy is always the same….destruction. The important thing to remember during the trials of life is that God knows exactly where we are and has allowed it all to happen. His plan is to prosper us, so no matter where we are it will all work together for our good. All the tough times we have been through, though they hurt they made us stronger = better. When we take that and acknowledge that God is in control we know that it is only by the grace of God that some of us did not end up as the star of a "Snapped", "Cops", "Iyanla fix my life" or a "Murder in the Family" episode. It takes a lot of strength and not strength of our own, but strength that God has placed in us to go through life and actually be in Gods will. This means doing the right thing, even when someone else isn't. The journey with God is not perfect...

Life in His Garden

Life in His Garden Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. [I Cor. 15:45-49.] And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted). And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired–good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity. [Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19.] And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. (Genesis 2:7-9...
