Strength for All Things

Strength for All Things

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. (Philippians 4:13 AMP)
In life there are situations that with God's leading we overcome. Oftentimes while going through the process we feel like it's the most difficult thing we've had to face. It is in the escalation to the next level that we experience a shift of Christ's strength. The empowerment endows us to go on another day, praise God another day and encourage others through sharing Christ.
Philippians 4 is full of instructions on how to get through the rough days. Think on the things that are right and just, practice what you have learned. In school we learn things throughout the semester in order to take an exam. We pass or fail the exam based on how much we remember.
Right now you may be going through something that is greater than what you alone can fight. Chaos and the threat of disruption may be lurking around every corner. In the laughter of those who think your service is strange, in the confusion being brought to your pursuit of purpose, in the attacks against your health, in the lack of belief & support from others. All these things come to challenge what you've been learning.
There have been times when I have studied hard before an exam; yet barely passed. Life is the same if we don't make ourselves focus on God in the storm and His answers...we will fail. The blessing for us is even when we fail; God is always there to help us get up the nerve to try again. We can only be self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency, if we allow Him & His word to reign on the inside.
Hold on to 2 Timothy 1:7 and you will pass the test stronger than you've ever been!
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 AMP)

Hiding Amongst the Baggage

“Samuel went back to GOD: “Is he anywhere around?” GOD said, “Yes, he’s right over there—hidden in that pile of baggage.” They ran and got him. He took his place before everyone, standing tall—head and shoulders above them. Samuel then addressed the people, “Take a good look at whom GOD has chosen: the best! No one like him in the whole country!” Then a great shout went up from the people: “Long live the king!”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:22-24‬ ‭MSG‬‬  There comes a time in life when the King or Queen in you can no longer be hidden. In 1 Samuel 9 Saul thought he was just going to look for his families lost sheep. As he was looking for the lost possessions of his family, he found the lost identity of himself.  Along the journey of life we find ourselves as we find Christ. In you is a great king or queen and you had no clue. There is a greatness in each of us that is hidden until life circumstances pulls it out of us. Many of us have come across great people who see thi...

The Trials of Life

Some trials are of the enemy, some self-inflicted (I've had many of these); no matter the avenue the destination of the enemy is always the same….destruction. The important thing to remember during the trials of life is that God knows exactly where we are and has allowed it all to happen. His plan is to prosper us, so no matter where we are it will all work together for our good. All the tough times we have been through, though they hurt they made us stronger = better. When we take that and acknowledge that God is in control we know that it is only by the grace of God that some of us did not end up as the star of a "Snapped", "Cops", "Iyanla fix my life" or a "Murder in the Family" episode. It takes a lot of strength and not strength of our own, but strength that God has placed in us to go through life and actually be in Gods will. This means doing the right thing, even when someone else isn't. The journey with God is not perfect...

Life in His Garden

Life in His Garden Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. [I Cor. 15:45-49.] And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted). And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired–good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity. [Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19.] And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. (Genesis 2:7-9...
