Trusting Gods Ordered Steps

Trusting God's Ordered Steps

Truly believing that our steps are ordered by God means we don't get out of order by trying to make things happen on our own time. Patience is part of the fruit that comes from living out life with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Having patience doesn't mean it's an easy street, but it's the path that allows you to surrender to God's will and gives you peace about His timing. So many of our wants and desires are God given, yet we fail to rely on the timing of the desire giver (Psalm 37:4). Some people read this as "if I submit to God, He'll give me what I want"...NOPE! I have personally gone through this in the area of relationships and He has literally given me new desires in my heart that align with His will and purpose for my life.

It may seem as if the steps are taking a long time or we feel like we are taking the wrong steps, we get frustrated and possibly give up on a God given desire. In reality there is nothing wrong with you or the desire, the issue is in whether or not it's God's timing and if we are going about it God's way. Stand on God's word; if He gives desires then He can also guide us through the fulfillment of them. The question I must ask myself every time I even think about doing something out of order is do you have faith in God and His timing for the desires He's given you?

In the meantime it is important to value who God has made you to be which a person in His image is. Work on fulfilling His will for your life. If we are in a state of not knowing what that is we must replace the tenacity and level at which we have been chasing our desire with chasing after God. Seek God to help create in us a clean and renewed heart (Psalm 51:10). We must begin to treat ourselves as if we know we are a temple that the Holy Spirit has dwelled in since the moment we committed our lives to Christ (1Corinthians 6:19). If you have not committed your life to Christ now is a good time to get started on your journey with Him. God is able to make all things new. Ask Him to come into your heart and give you the courage and the strength to depend on Him no matter what you see.

Our perfection is not what He seeks; He already got that from Jesus. From us God seeks repentance and service to and for Him. What gifts do you have that you are holding on to? What desires besides the one that is at the top of your desire list has God given you that you can actually get to work on to glorify Him?

Things to focus on:
1: Remember to be thankful for all of the desires that He has fulfilled and even the blessings you didn't even know you desired until they came.

2: What desire has God given you that would build up His Kingdom that you can get busy on?
(This is not just for pastors etc., what talent has he given you or idea's to bless others that you haven't acted on?)

3: God's ordered steps are not always easy, yet they are always WORTH it in the end.

Scripture References:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV)

Delight yourself also in the LORD; And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:4 NKJV).

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalms 51:10 NKJV)

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (I Corinthians 6:19 NKJV)

Hiding Amongst the Baggage

“Samuel went back to GOD: “Is he anywhere around?” GOD said, “Yes, he’s right over there—hidden in that pile of baggage.” They ran and got him. He took his place before everyone, standing tall—head and shoulders above them. Samuel then addressed the people, “Take a good look at whom GOD has chosen: the best! No one like him in the whole country!” Then a great shout went up from the people: “Long live the king!”” ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:22-24‬ ‭MSG‬‬  There comes a time in life when the King or Queen in you can no longer be hidden. In 1 Samuel 9 Saul thought he was just going to look for his families lost sheep. As he was looking for the lost possessions of his family, he found the lost identity of himself.  Along the journey of life we find ourselves as we find Christ. In you is a great king or queen and you had no clue. There is a greatness in each of us that is hidden until life circumstances pulls it out of us. Many of us have come across great people who see thi...

The Trials of Life

Some trials are of the enemy, some self-inflicted (I've had many of these); no matter the avenue the destination of the enemy is always the same….destruction. The important thing to remember during the trials of life is that God knows exactly where we are and has allowed it all to happen. His plan is to prosper us, so no matter where we are it will all work together for our good. All the tough times we have been through, though they hurt they made us stronger = better. When we take that and acknowledge that God is in control we know that it is only by the grace of God that some of us did not end up as the star of a "Snapped", "Cops", "Iyanla fix my life" or a "Murder in the Family" episode. It takes a lot of strength and not strength of our own, but strength that God has placed in us to go through life and actually be in Gods will. This means doing the right thing, even when someone else isn't. The journey with God is not perfect...

Life in His Garden

Life in His Garden Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. [I Cor. 15:45-49.] And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted). And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired–good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity. [Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19.] And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. (Genesis 2:7-9...
